2009 Market Dates and Events

Each market will feature a related event (next door in the cafeteria) to generate additional traffic, press, and exposure. Vendors participating in that day's market are encouraged (but not required) to showcase related products (ex: If you're participating on May 3rd, then consider featuring products that would make suitable wedding gifts, in addition to your other products).

 

March 1: Spring Cleaning

It's your chance to rid your closets of old inventory and make room for new products! Designers can participate by offering last year's inventory at discounted prices and/or stopping by the cafeteria to participate in the first Design Hive clothing swap.

 

April 5: Get Green & Groovy

We'll be celebrating Earth Day by showcasing all the eco-friendly products created by our very own designers. With so many designers using recycled, vintage, and/or salvaged materials,  it's time you got credit for making the world a greener - and happier - place! We'll also have an "art station" where shoppers can design their own fair trade Ethletic footwear and t-shirts, compliments of Boston's own Autonomie Project. 

 

May 3: Wedded Bliss

There's nothing worse than showing up for a bridal shower or wedding with yet another wooden salad bowl! We'll give wedding gift-giving a lift with cool indie products that will make brides and grooms alike drool. Plus, designers can showcase their fabulous accessories that will make any outfit pop! 

 

June 7: Vintage Glam

Calling all vintage vendors - this show will feature the best of 70s and 80s fashion with the live music to match!

September 13: Indie Fashion Show

We'll be celebrating Fashion Week in Boston with our very own indie fashion show. More details forthcoming.

 

October 4: Fall Clothing Swap

Much like the "Spring Cleaning" event, vendors will be able to unload old inventory while we encourage shoppers to stop by for our Fall clothing swap.

 

November 1: Holiday Entertaining

Got outfits or embellishments to make fashionistas sparkle this holiday season? Bust them out because we'll be helping shoppers get glam for the holidays.

December 6: Holiday Market
